• Mercuryfacts.org - A Website dedicated to dispelling the rumors surrounding mercury in the seafood business.  Highlights include scientific articles on eating seafood and ongoing scientific research concerning mercury.
• FDA Action Levels - The FDA chart detailing actionable levels for poisons and deleterious substances in human food and animal feed.  Click on "Mercury" to see that 1.00 ppm is the actionable level for methyl mercury in seafood.
• FDA Mercury Levels in Commercial Fish & Shellfish - The FDA database for Total Mercury levels in fish gathered from the Gulf of Mexico, with information dated as far back as the 1970's.  This information is outdated and often mistakenly referenced due to the fact that these figures catalog the amount of Total Mercury (elemental mercury, naturally occurring) as opposed to Methyl Mercury (Bioaccumulated, organic form).  Only those fish species denoted by an asterisk (*) account for Methyl Mercury levels.
